SUPPLIES BRANCH ACCOUNTS

In accordance with your instructions we have

conducted an audit of the accounting records maintained

by the Supplies Branch of your Department for the year

ended 31st March, 1951, and have to report thereon as

follows :

SCOPE OF OUR EXAMINATION

Without making a detailed audit of all trans-

actions we have examined or tested the accounting records

and other evidence in the manner and to the extent we

deemed appropriate. Our examination was made in accord-

ance with generally accepted auditing standards applicable

in the circumstances and included all procedures which we

considered necessary.

PROFIT AND LOSS ACCOUNTS

These accounts have been set up on a basis

consistent with those prepared by us in respect of pre-

vious years.

Detailed analyses of expenditure have been

omitted in order to effect a brief and concise presenta-

tion.

The accounts are, we believe, self-explanatory

but we feel the following points should be borne in mind
